The active leader of our Olney team, Amanda has extensive experience in rehabilitation services. She spent seven years as a physical therapy assistant and therapy director in various long-term care facilities. “I knew that I wanted to further my education and become an administrator,” says Amanda, who returned to school to earn a degree in healthcare management. She studied at Vincennes University, where she was awarded an associate’s degree in physical therapy and a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management. “Being that I am a therapist by background, my top goal for all our short-term guests is a return to their prior level of function,” Amanda says. “We work hard to get our residents home while providing top care in a home-like environment.” When she’s not at our Olney facility, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. “Our children participate in a variety of activities, which keeps me busy,” Amanda says. She is also actively involved in the Lawrence County 4H program and the county fair pageant system. “And in my downtime, I enjoy reading, sewing and scrapbooking,” says our busy administrator.
